Question by The Rhino: This is a legal question about renting?
I run a private sober living home in California.
No One who lives there has signed any lease and are renting on a month to month basis.
I have a resident who violated my house rules by way of threatening another resident.
My question is this:
Do I have to follow the California Renters Rights guideline under these circumstances?

I would like to know why no one living there has signed a lease. Isn’t that illegal or something? And I thought having a lease was obligatory if your a landloard.
