They love us! They really love us!?
Question by Euphonie: They love us! They really love us!?
In a recent question, someone stated that ALL Christians love everyone, and I’ve seen that “fact” used as a defense against several different people.
What is this love? Describe it. Under what circumstances have you felt it? Not felt it? When have you loved, and when have you not loved?
This seems to me like a cop-out answer; like if things start getting tough, “facts” are running out, or they just want to throw up the flag and try to claim innocence and selflessness through this never-ending “love” which, as far as I know, is an ability known only to their god.
Are you feeling this love now, as you read this? I’m very interested to know what you’re thinking. If you were tested like this every day, would you still love? What are the limits to your everlasting love?
Let me be clear that I am not trying to incite, but merely curious, since the concept of a human loving, although tested, tortured, and teased, makes no sense at all.
All insight welcome.

Well, Christians SHOULD love – but certainly many do not. We all fall very short of the standard Jesus has set for us.
But, remember, love is not a feeling – it is an act of our will. As we choose to do right, we show our love to God and to others. Feelings come and feelings go. Love remains the same.
god bless
