For almost two decades the highly respected treatment center ‘The Right Step’ has been the leader in alcohol and substance abuse rehabilitation for the DFW Metroplex and surrounding cities. The Right Step treats men, women and adolescents throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area and now a new location is available in University Park, serving the Preston Hollow and the Park Cities area.

The Right Step is the largest provider of chemical dependency treatment in the Southwest with over twenty facilities covering various levels of care. The new location caters to those who work and reside in this area. Located discretely in a professional building among other businesses as well as the shops of the Preston Center, clients feel more comfortable knowing that their need for privacy is respected and anonymity is protected. This level of care is well suited for individuals who are unable to leave work, school or family in an effort to get clean and sober and do not have complicating medical factors which require a higher level of care. The Park Cities office has afternoon and evening Intensive Outpatient (IOP) groups, Ambulatory Detoxification, as well as medical assessments throughout the day for admission to the programs offered at the Park Cities office. Our Dallas Fort Worth area Residential facility is located in Euless and serves adults and adolescents. We also offer a more luxurious scenic experience in the Hill Country at our Spirit Lodge location for adults age 25 and older.

About Dr. Terry Alley Medical Director for The Right Step Park Cities and DFW Region

Terry Alley, MD functions as Medical Director of both the DFW Region and Park Cities location. Dr. Alley began his career in Family Practice but has worked exclusively in the area of addiction since 1983. He is a Fellow in the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and a Medical Review Officer, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Before coming to The Right Step he was Medical Director at the Bradford Health Services facility in Warrior, Alabama for twelve years, and was instrumental in the development of their Healthcare Professionals Program where individuals in the medical field were received specialized treatment.
