Talking with a parent(s) about their adolescent that has committed suicide?

Question by Live.Laugh.Love: Talking with a parent(s) about their adolescent that has committed suicide?
I am writing a research paper for my Parenting Adolescents class regarding teen suicide. I am wondering if there are any parents who have experienced this and would be willing to discuss it with me.
I am interested in learning more from a first hand perspective such as:
What was the persons age?
Was the person male or female?
Was the individual more social or isolated?
Was there any drug or alcohol abuse?
What led to the suicide (what were the reasons? depression, school, stress, friends…etc)
If there were any symptoms? (warning signs if any were apparent)
Did they talk about commiting suicide or hurting themselves?

Also, if there is a forum that were created for parents whose teens have committed suicide this would also be very helpful.

Thank You In Advance.

Woow! “Talking” to parents who’s teen has done this is VERY intense. It will be difficult for the parents and for you. So it would not be my choice for you…..

Another approach might be:
Do some literature searches….find books written by parents with teens who have done this. Movies about…..Articles about…..theres a lot out there…..
Also Paulo Coelho has written a book called Veronika decides to die: describes what she thinks and why.

Good luck!
