Tabachnick vs. Meyers?
Question by Dragan S: Tabachnick vs. Meyers?
Should I better buy
1.Tabachnlick, Fidell: “Using Multivariate Statistics” or 2.Meyers: “Applied Multivariate Research:Design and Interpretation”?
I need a good conceptual sourse on multivariate statisticsl analysis (factor analysis, logistic regression, MANOVA, etc) without too much maths.
THE PRICE DOESN’T MATTER! JUST THE QUALLITY OF TEXT!
OTHER SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!
I am a Medschool graduate, who’s a lot into research in psychiatry.

Tabachink & Fidell is VERY comprehensive. However, it’s also not very readable for non statisticians or those not already well versed in univariate stats. In addition, much of it of precious little practical use, as you’ll be using SPSS (or similar) to crank out the vast majority of your numbers, rather than cranking them out yourself.
Best of luck to you,
