SUICIDE

I just wanted to bring some light to a topic that has had an immense effect on my family’s life. Even with all we know today, depression still goes ignored and undiagnosed in children and teens. It’s not often easy to deal with and there may not be a quick fix, but depression is treatable. Too often parents miss the warning signs. In 4 out of 5 suicides, clear warning signs were present. Don’t be afraid to get involved in your childrens’ lives, be nosey, be aware…it’s your job. For help, please call 1-800-SUICIDE For more information, visit: www.teenhelp.com www.familyfirstaid.org www.nami.org ****PLEASE NOTE: Though I have battled with depression in my own life, I have NEVER considered suicide to be an option in my life. For my brother, Tyler…may you find the peace in heaven you couldn’t find here on earth. I love you Ty. Music: 13 Ghosts II by NIN, creative commons licensing.
