Question by Stephanie C: Someone i was romantically involved with has gone to rehab for 6months?
I don’t know when I’ll hear from him again,just hope he gets better. I do however have a few questions;

1) in your experience is it possible to continue a relationship w someone after they’ve been released from rehab

2) when are you allowed to speak to people outside of the rehab facility (generally speaking)

3) have you had any personal experience w a drug addict that has overcome addiction through treatment (personal or otherwise)

1.Do you do drugs yourself?
Were you present when they did take drugs.
If you say yes to the 2 above questions then its prob best you give them time in recovery.

2. personal preference but rehabs usually suggest not to have a relationship for 2 years while recovering.

3. This person wont change unless something deep happens or they meet someone that can help them but they will have to want to change whole heartedly
