Grants totaling .6 million awarded
The more than $ 2.6 million awarded by the John T. Vucurevich Foundation to western South Dakota nonprofits in the second half of last year will go toward everything from $ 1,000 worth of equipment for a rural ambulance service to $ 10,000 for Teach for America initiatives on two reservations to half a million dollars aimed at hard-to-solve mental health and substance abuse issues in Rapid City.
