Question by Miranda Knight: Sober house in Chicago? (AKA Recovery home, sober living, halfway house)?
I am struggling to find a recovery home/sober house/halfway house in Chicago (or very near…within 50 miles.)

I know about several including Hazelden Chicago, Gateway, and Serenity House..and Fresh Start. But I am looking for one for women NOT included in that list. Does anyone know of any? Money is not an issue, I just want to refer her a good one. Perhaps privately owned? Small? I don’t care either way, I’m praying you all have some guidance here. THanks.

You probably should just contact your local DSHS office. They will have lots of references to the type of places/shelters that you are looking for.
