Question by Marce: So just say your brother is a meth addict and you love him but…?
you told him that you were not going to be a part of his life any more until he got clean, and you did it out of love thinking maybe it would make him go to treatment but it didn’t work plus now your mom thinks that you did it because you don’t like him.

So what would a person in that situation do now, just pretend that he doesn’t have a problem like the mom does and go out to dinner with the two of them as if there is nothing wrong or…?

You can not make another person do something that they do not want to do. You must be supportive of him and maybe show him what it is doing to him. It sounds like that you are very close to your brother. Please be there for him and love him for who he is not what he is. Good luck
