I think he should. He holds alot of records in the sport. Gambling is an addiction and there are plenty of alcoholics and drug addicts in the Hall of Fame. He should be able to be in there for his merits to the sport and not his weakness of gambling addiction. Look at the late great Mickey Mantel who had to have a liver transplant because he was such an alcoholic. Was his addiction better? What about the “juicers” who rack up records that aren’t even honest effort? Bring Charlie Hustle back and put him in the Hall of Fame.

So he can get inside information and begin betting again?

Whatever happened to sportsmanship in sports? Now they fight and behave in a very uncivilized manner—what kind of message does that send to children?

We have all sorts of individuals involved in sports these days, who don’t want to follow the rules, and yet collect enormous salaries.

How about making them earn some of those big bucks?

Being an athlete is supposed to involve being discliplined. If they want to break the rules, they don’t want to continue being a professional athlete, plain and simple.
