septal alcohol ablation as a treatment for feline hypertropic cardimyopathy?

Question by kikidismom: septal alcohol ablation as a treatment for feline hypertropic cardimyopathy?
My cat has hypertropic caridomyopathy and I desparately want to do more than give him lasix and cardizem till he strokes and dies. People w/ this can get septal alcohol ablation with what appear to be good results. Are there any animal studies on this? Or is there any other possible cure for my little buddy? (And yes, this is what happens to you when you are 45 w/ no kids ). I know the question is weird but after researching the options I am curious as to whether this or a transplant are options for him.
