My mom was way into drugs as a child/teen and up untill recently. She had a seizure after taking so much Xanax to get high and then ran out. And she had one other in prison from withdrawl as well. She just told me she had two seizures the past couple days and I know that if you take some medications, drug interactions may trigger a seizure. Now I once heard that some illegal street drugs like LSD, meth, etc. stay in your system for many years. So I think that when she started taking a prescription Bipolar medication the drugs that have been in her system triggered this reaction.

So now I have 2 questions.

1. Is there any of the hardcore drugs that stay in your system for… a long time?

2. If so, are there any bipolar medications that will cause a seizure reaction?

No, drugs do not have month or year long half-lives. None that I know of anyway.

And many bipolar meds (lamictal for instance) actually HELP people prone to seizures.

Tell me, how many Xanax does it take to get high? Cos I take it and when I take even one extra it makes me sick, not high. I’ve never quite understood how it’s abused.
