well, i tried installing windows vista as a trial version… but i erased the Windows xp media center edition 2005 that i had.. so i had to go buy another windows xp.. this time was Home Edition… and well, i was wondering if i could recover my Windows Xp Media Center Edition 2005 with the Recovery Console… i tried using it while i was booting, but it asked for a password.. what can i do to recover my original version of windows? is there any way

If your Recovery partition is still intact, take it to a local shop, they should be capable of either changing, or removing the password with special software.
