Rapid Penang has allowed a `sneak preview’ of its new `accessible buses’-which it has promised for a while. Are these buses going to be truly accessible as promised? See this video for yourself-and importantly, sendyour comments! Rapid will buy 200 of this model for Penang, and later another 1000 for Klang Valley. All the reasons for users to get it right before we fall for it! Eg are the bus’ specification following international standards as suggested by RapidPg? Are the ramps safe for wheelchair users? Are there audio signal for the blind?
