Question by Brianda: Question on Filing a civil case?
I am not sure if I am able to sue someone for this so I was wandering if anyone could help me. Im going to shorten this up because its a long story. I had an old friend that needed a place to stay so I let her stay with me for a while. While she was living with me she was really dirty and never helped out with anything. I kicked her out about a month later. Well she was really upset with me because she didnt have anywhere else to go. So she called child protective services on me (I have a 2 year old son) and said that I do “meth” in the house with my son and that she feels he is in danger. After she had done this I asked her why she would do that and she told me she only did that because she thought I was going to call on her because I kicked her out. I have this saved because it was through a text message. I just feel like I should get some justice because she only did this out of anger towards me. This is going to stay on my record and I am now scared of my child being taken away from me. Is this a legit reason to file a claim on her. I would basically be asking for compensation for the hurting. Any response would be much appreciated

You might have a criminal case. It sounds like she has nothing, so what could you get from her. I would give a lawyer a call either way.
