I wrote this when I was 16, on drugs, homeless and heart-broken. (“chemical clouds” and “spinning circles” refers to crystal meth)

Someday (Pilted Poem)

One day our time will end
And this will all be over
You will have your wings
And I still wont be sober

Imaginig the things you’d say,
I’ll be up there with you-
High as fuck and flying higher
Refusing to accept the truth

And one day I’ll be seeing things
When you decide to run the path
I’ll chase you through the canyon twice
But illusions never last

Nothing really matters
Now that you’re not here
But regardless if you’re gone for good
It’s you that I still fear

I ask the lord show mercy
And send you home to me
But most of all I beg your forgiveness
Though it’s my own I should redeem

One day the pain will fade away
But for now I’ll heal while stoned
Because it’s easier to fall asleep by yourself
Than it is to wake up alone

Flying through thick chemical clouds
Spinning circles in the garage
Your name will be brought up somehow
And I’ll remember your punkrock cause

Everyone knows what happened
Why you went away
But I’m still here confused as fuck
And wishing you’d’ve stayed

One day I’ll understand
What makes people change
Or maybe even realize
When it’s me that isn’t the same
