Planning an intervention for someone who is morbidly obese.?
Question by Grinch 67: Planning an intervention for someone who is morbidly obese.?
one of our friends is dangerously obese, and headed down a path where if he doesn’t change he will die. We, as friends were thinking of doing some sort of an intervention (similiar to what you would do for a drug addict). We want him to see how worried we are about him, how his health is getting worse, how he will surely die if he doesn’t make some changes, even small ones.
Any ideas, suggestions, websites, etc that could help us handle this with respect, love and concern? We’re not doing it to embarrass him, we want him to be healthy and live a long life with us!

Good for you, guys!
Psychological motivation is the most serious problem. I do believe you will menage.
I lost some time ago 11 kilograms and still continue loosing weight. I start to make site, where I try to be useful to the others.
What I have to tell you is that I:
1. Did exercise after the 2 month
2. Change my diet every 2 weeks working with a medical doctor
3. took pills (again with doctor’s help)
In case of serious obesity you will need doctor monitoring for your friend. And (i have such a friend) if he loose weight probably he will need some plastics for the skin
I wrote a lot, but I would like to share my experience and you to know everything.
Good luck!
