Pain Management Dr in NJ why wont anyone help me?

Question by You Topia: Pain Management Dr in NJ why wont anyone help me?
I am 28 I have frequent migraines and recently diagnosed with advanced stages of degenerative spine disease and a bulging/herniated disc in my neck. Neurologist gave me Tylenol 3 for pain – didn’t work- gave me percocet low dose – didn’t work gave me a higher dose which worked, he was reluctant so I said look if you don’t want to manage my pain send me to pain management boy was that a mistake! this dr. now wont even give me tylenol 3, he gave me some stupid exercises to do which i’m in too much pain to do, some days are not so bad so i do them, but he wont do anything for me, I told him what has worked in the past and that I have a 10yr old son and an active life. i don’t want to get high but I need something strong for the real severe pain, like when it’s cold and rainy out, he says he never gives anything for pain. So should i go to someone else? or are all PM Dr.s in NJ gonna be the same way? I am in so much pain I have to lay down alot and my son needs me.

get rid of that doctor. its not even worth paying for that kind of care. go back to your other doctor. you should ask about a pain patch. its called a duragesic patch and they come in different strengths of fentanyl. and then use percocet for break through pain. just an idea.
