over-protective much?

I have a guy friend who used to get into drugs.
i went out with him for a while, but we never got to see each other cause of my mom.
but while that was going on,
he went into rehab and hes doing extremely good.
i try to tell my mom how long hes been clean from it,
but she wont listen.
hes only like 3 years older than me…….
my mom doesnt care about that.
its just that she doesnt want me getting into that,
i want her to trust me that i wouldnt do it.
and trust him too.
My mom just isnt ready to let go.
im gonna be driving soon,
& she probably follow behind me where ever i go…
HELP.

DONT tell me “you shouldnt even talk to him cause he did drugs” & “hes too old for you” or “your moms right”
if your gonna do that,
dont even put anything.

Well.. Your mom shouldnt get in to your business well i no your suposed to “listen” to her. But who does that now days!? It seems that you really do have feelings for this man..follow your heart do what you think you should do. Theres no right or wrong way. maybe your mom would say thats wrong you should of did this. but its up to you. About her following you around then i dont no what you can do there!
