Our mom has an addiction to downers. How can I help in this personal issue? I live near Kuna, Idaho. What city or town or charitable or private firms would help me with this.

If she has a problem then your entire family has a problem. Tell your dad, your aunt, uncle, grandparents…they will know how to contact the appropriate substance abuse clinics and get her help. BUT always remember it is her choice not yours or anyone else. She has to want help before it will work. My ex was in rehab 5x and still has problems but I am clean and always have been so my kids never suffered an extreme amount. The kids are always affected in one way or another but it made mine more resistant to drugs…or so I hope. GOD BLESS and make the most of your lives regardless of whether mom ever gets clean!
