‘National Security Nightmare’ redux: Ball says, “Repeal the seal”
Assemblyman Greg Ball (R, C, I Patterson) was joined by Ed Kowalski, Director of 9/11 Families for a Secure America, and former prosecutor Dan Schorr at a press conference to discuss the impending ‘national security nightmare,’ which will result from the newly-enacted Rockefeller Drug Law reforms. This is Spitzers driver’s license fiasco all over again; lets just call it national security disaster: part II. If nothing else, this insane proposal, which is now law and will allow criminal illegal alien drug dealers to strike again, should get Paterson, Silver and Smith the Mexican Drug Cartel’s MVP of the Year Award, Ball said outside the Westchester County Courthouse. Using this loophole, criminal illegal aliens will avoid deportation, be allowed to complete substance abuse treatment at taxpayer expense, and be sent back out onto the street. All of this with their records sealed and the opportunity to strike again, all while maintaining their illegal immigration status without deportation. Only in New York, folks, only in New York. Other changes in the law will seal the records of felon-level criminals, allowing them to pass background checks and gain employment. This provision provides a glaring loophole through every protection we have worked so hard to put in place, Schorr said.
