My girlfriend shows all the signs of early childhood molestation and she just told me that she may have been molested as a child… We have been together for 8 months now and it has been a crazy ride. Very many high Highs with a few very low lows. Her symptoms:
Depression or loneliness although she hides it very well!
Mentions Suicide sometimes
Strong Alcohol Abuse and a history of drug abuse
frequent Nightmares
Sleep Disturbances like Bed-wetting, nightmares and lack of sleep.
Unusual extream periods of interest in sexual activity.
Personality changes
clinging to people
Lack of appetite or sudden increased appetite
Desire to be isolated and withdrawn for periods of time
Wears less clothing to get attention
She was a stripper for a period of time in college
Used to only like “Bag Guys”…

Anyway, There are so many awesome things about this girl and she wants to marry me, have kids.. and so on. We go to concerts, go on hikes, watch movies, go dancing, love music, go boating, watch musicals, the list goes on and on… she is hard to keep interested so we really go big with everything we go and it is tons of fun… It scares me though because I am never to sure what she is going to do next… I feel she is controling… when we are drinking, I have to be with her at all times inorder to be sure she is not messing around… No way I can trust her going out drinking with her friends… She easily gets distracted by others and blocks me out completely without even knowing it it seems… When she leaves me for a even a few minutes to go somewhere else I am afraid she is flerting with others… she likes girls… I’ve known who she was for 13 years, not dating, so there are a few guys friends in my life that I know she has been with sexually and I’ve had to block these friends out… I need some good avdice, Is there hope that she will change and someday be marrage material? What should I expect in a long term relationship if I do choose to stay with her?
