Question by Melissa V: My father was terminated while on FMLA and STD is that legal?
I planned an intervention for my father because of his drug addiction and received his work’s approval on his leave. They insured his position would be held and placed him on short term disability and even gave me the FMLA papers. However, 40 days later, they decided to terminate him. Is this legal?

I don’t think it is
unless they found out why
then they may think he creates an unsafe work environment
