Question by STUNNER RUNNER: My brother is suicidal and has severe alcoholism. He has attempted suicide several times. How do I help him?
The family wants to do an intervention, but his self esteem is so minimal that we fear it will reinforce his negative view of himself and instead of accepting the help, he will leave and commit suicide. Also, we would like to place him in an inpatient rehab facility. Does anyone know of an affordable facility?

Answer by U Can’t handle the truth
NO place with take a patient NOT willing to be treated. Find a good counselor that does interventions, work with them and let the chips fall where they may. Not easy but honest, watch “Intervention” on A&E and get some background on the situation
