Question by Wiseguy: Meth toxicity question…..medical expert needed (10 pts for best answer)?

If methamphetamine use and abuse causes toxicity to dopaminergic cells why is it a schedule II drug and why is prescribed for adhd and given to children if it causes brain damage and at the very least leads to low levels of dopamine. Im refering to desoxyn and even addrall and dexedrine which i understand also cause toxicity to dopaminergic cells. I personally believe in legalization so im not asking why its not banned, but why is it given to young children even with this research.

One of my parents is a doctor and some medicines have side effects meth aren’t commonly as prescribed to ADHD children as adderol is. is used in medicines morphine is a form of so you can see what I’m pointing at
