Meth: There’s Never Just Once
Brian Vance of Selah High School in Selah, Washington. Methamphetamines are described as the single greatest problem facing our society. Nearly all identity theft and a majority of property and auto theft are done by Meth users. A majority of children in foster care are there because their parents use Meth. Brian wanted to develop a DVD that could be distributed to schools to help develop public awareness of this tragedy. This is one of 24videos featured in the Images of Youth 2007 Video Festival, April 20, 2007. What especially distinguishes these films is the focus on message. All entrants were asked to demonstrate that they have been critically thinking about their subject matter and have used their skills in expressing to their audience what they feel is an important message. Unlike other national youth video festivals, emphasis on message is considered to be more important than the production skills that students demonstrate. Once again, Action for Media Education (AME) would like to thank all our entrants for participating in our festival.
