An interdepartmental team of law enforcement served a search warrant Thursday at the home of suspected methamphetamine dealers less than a block from the Island County Sheriff’s Office in Coupeville, according to Oak Harbor Police Department.

‘Dishonesty’ gets Sandusky police officer fired
James DeSalle is no longer a police officer in Sandusky. The police officer caught last year with 50 grams of methamphetamine in his locker was fired Friday for chewing tobacco on duty and lying about it, city officials said. Supervisors placed DeSalle, a 12-year veteran, on paid leave Dec. 8 and scheduled him for a pre-disciplinary hearing this past Tuesday. read more
