Question by Beth M: Mental/addiction help for my brother?
My older brother has been battling drug/alcohol addiction for many years and has been recently released from jail. He has told me of an unspeakable act that happend to him in Jail and he no longer wants to live. I have tried to help him, but I don’t know how. He just wants to drink/drug, whatever until it kills him. He is so empty inside, except the pain. He just wants to make the pain go away. He has no insurance, no job and close to having no where to live. PLEASE HELP ME, I DON’T WANT MY BROTHER TO DIE!!!!!

Please bring him to a psychiatrist or hospital. Or else find him a church, ask the pastor to speak to him about the love of Jesus. Jesus has been known to give hope to the hopeless and turn many drug addicts around. The power of God can heal.

Pls find a United Pentecostal Church. They have the power of Jesus at work to set your brother free. The hospital and psychiatrist can only do so much. Jesus gives hope for living.

Buy him a easy to read bible. Maybe that can turn his life around.
