apology no longer sufficient when big bucks are a possibility for “pain and suffering”?
I grew up in a predominently black town–it wasn’t until I became an adult in a different “world”, that I realized why there is so much prejudice against blacks.

Being a ‘victim’ is so ingrained in people here in the US. It is used to explain and excuse all kinds of behaviour and failures. Sadly it is also used as a way to make a buck. Pathetic.
I live in a predominantly black city and have been called names and once spit at. I got over it just fine. No therapy or cash settlement required.
