Marijuana withdrawals?
Question by Kali: Marijuana withdrawals?
My boyfriend has smoked weed since we met. I don’t smoke but I’ve always been okay with him doing it as long as he kept it under control and didn’t go overboard with it. (We had a long talk about what I was okay with). In the last few months he has been smoking more though. It has gotten to the point where he is smoking more than a gram a day (I am appalled that I have been around it enough now to know that) and he is spending between $ 140 and $ 200 a week. He’s high whenever I see him. It’s ridiculous.
I sat him down Tuesday and told him I didn’t like how much he was smoking. He understood and admitted that he even thought it was getting to be too much. He on his own decided to stop completely for at least this holiday weekend and promised he would go back to only smoking on weekends.
Thursday morning (after not smoking since Tuesday night) he had a huge headache and was really nauseous. He barely forced down one helping of stuffing and couldn’t eat anymore. The nausea and headache have come and gone throughout the last few days. He has also had a lot of trouble falling asleep each night since he stopped. He thinks he’s just gotten a bug of some kind. I started thinking though and it seems like a withdrawal kind of thing. But if people can’t get addicted to marijuana then can they still have withdrawals when they stop it? How long will this last?

No such thing as marijuana withdrawl. It isn’t physcially addictive. Now he may be psychologically addicted. He has to learn to deal without. Tell him to man up and quit being a slackass doper.
