PHC talks alcohol
The Panhellenic Council (PHC) held a meeting Wednesday night to discuss the issue of alcohol abuse within the community. Incidents that occurred this past weekend relating to excessive drinking prompted the meeting, PHC President Sara Linkosky wrote in a statement.

Gang-related problems stay out of schools
A recent study conducted by the Western Piedmont Council of Government Data Center and representatives of the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council in Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties reveals that while youth gang activity is present, community support is keeping a majority of the problems outside of the schools.
