Director Kerlikowske you said that the idea of legalizing drugs is of the charts for discussion. But in recent weeks a number of serious people like Senator Jim Webb, former Mexican President Vicente Fox and the current Mexican ambassador of the United States have all said that legalization is a serious idea worth serious consideration. And even on page one of the UNODC report up today Mr. Costa devotes significant space to discussing the arguments for legalizing drugs. Do you think that this recent discussion is dangerous and should be discouraged or do you think under the Obama administration in this era scientifically all options really should be on the table for consideration before we decide to a new way to move forward? Sure we are a country of free speech and so I think the last thing that anyone in the administration would do would be to suppress free speech in that discussion.
