Just thinking back, intervention is rude?

I am just thinking back a few years ago. I did have a problem with alcohol. I remember walking in with my friends and sister there. They did an intervention on me. Why do people think it’s okay to do that to someone??? I didn’t deserve that and felt alienated! Did that ever happen to anyone?
