Question by rani: Is there a rehab program or facility you can send your child to if he doesnt want to quit drugs? Help!!!?
My brother is 17, i knew he was addicted to cigs, but now hes doing hard core drugs. My parents have tried boarding school, he got expelled. We moved to a different city, he made new friends. Now we are looking for a good facility he can spend the year at, but we also want him to continue his education. He is not willing to go, so are there any facilities that can make him go by force. This is a last resort, weve tried everything else. please be specific.

It isn’t going to do any good to force him into rehab if he isn’t willing to work it. I don’t mean to sound like I don’t care, but he is still young. It sounds like he is just growing up and experimenting. You will have that. Maybe I am out of line or way off base, but it seems like maybe your parents are controlling and he is rebeling (I get this from them sending him to boarding school). This is part of growing up and figuring out who you are. I guess they can check him into one of those Arizona boot camp/rehab things. But honestly it won’t do any good until he admits he has a problem and realizes he needs help. Trust me!
