Is the torture chamber ever marked?
Question by amalone: Is the torture chamber ever marked?
The torture chamber in the sense of room for abuse of power and/or unintended consequences.
For all intents and purposes, the design of a legislation is to “help” people and on the surface, it is desirable to some if not most people. I have no doubt that it can deliver what it promises. My concern is with all the undeclared intentions and consequences and I have not hear those who are behind the bill say anything about keeping them from becoming reality. Every time, someone brings up any of the unintended consequences, their answer is “It’s not true. There’s no where in the bill that says anything about that.” That sort of answer is just not good enough for me. That is like for Microsoft to say that it did not include a good security mechanism into Windows because Windows was not intended for people to hack into.
So is the torture chamber ever marked and do politicians really care?
