Question by Giant Exclamation Point: Is Socialism the real opiate of the masses?
Karl Marx said that Religion is the opiate of the masses. Socialism is the real addiction. Once a nation is on it the only way to get off of it is through violent revolution. The people lose the ability to take care of themselves and begin to rely on the government for more and more.
The leaders are the drug dealer and the people are the addicts.
