Is meth possession an automatic felony?

Question by rebelrose2480: Is meth possession an automatic felony?
I am hoping someone can help me with this. I live in GA and a family member this morning was busted for DWI and meth possession. I have no idea what amount she had on her. I have been told and I am trying to look this up that in GA any amount on you is a felony is this true? This is her first offense and she was as high as a kite when they pulled her. I am just trying to find out exactly how much trouble she is in. Thanks.
