Is marijuana always “bad”?

Question by babyteeth.: Is marijuana always “bad”?
Background information: I’m a full-time university student and I also work as a barista. I would consider myself a “secret stoner” chick, meaning, about five or six days out of any given week, I smoke a little bit, but by looking at me, you’d never guess. I will wake up and take a hit or two, and then wind down at the end of the day with another hit. I’d say that I only actually get “stoned” maybe once a week, when I’m not having class/work. I don’t drink to get wasted, nor do I smoke cigarettes. I don’t fit into any stereotypes -I’m very feminine, polished, and I’m an A-student. My memory works just fine, thank you very much. No, I’m not a schizophrenic, and marijuana has not led me to try any harder drugs.

I know that it affects everyone differently, but I honestly think that smoking weed has improved my life. I don’t get anxious or upset easily about minor things, whether I’m high or not. And once I’ve smoked, I can clearly see truth. I’ve solved many problems while high as I’ve been able to look at the “bigger picture”. I also appreciate music, life, and people more. It doesn’t diminish my motivation at all, it makes me want to explore.

What I want to know is, is habitual use “bad” if it doesn’t affect the user in a negative way? (Aside from the dangers of smoking, of course, and potential weight gain from the munchies.) Or is this only something subconsciously put on us by society?

Let me add that when I’m not high, I’m just as fine. I just like a little kick in the pants to enhance the senses, because I honestly believe in living life to the fullest potential. I could easily stop if I wanted to, and I do take frequent “breaks”.

So, even though it’s illegal for the most part, with no personal negative affects, am I doing something wrong?

Thanks 🙂

P.S. Don’t respond if you don’t have any experience with weed. Seriously. It’s equivalent to a man describing how childbirth feels. Don’t waste your time.
