My best friend has battled both drug addiction and depression for years, he has went to countless rehab centers and is currently in the psychiatric ward. Of course I do not want to lose him, but he has been through so much that I just want his suffering to end. No medications work for his depression, and he is completely shutting down both physically and mentally. I have already lost him, he is not the same person anymore he is like an empty shell of what he used to be, I just want him to be at peace. Is it wrong that I would feel relieved for him if he ended his life?
