Question by Jade: Is it possible for a meth addict to get off it FOR GOOD? i dont think so…?
In my opinion rehab is a waste of time. I HATE meth with a passion b/c my cousins and uncle and sister and brother are meth users and they will be clean for a while, even YEARS but they always go back to the drug within time, it never fails. My uncle went to rehab for 6 months and didn’t touch the stuff for 8 years, but now hes back to it and worse than ever. My sister says that rehab and being put in jail just made her want to use more meth. She goes through phases where she won’t touch it for a couple years but then she will be back on it even after her treatments. Same with my brother. Doesn’t it open up a new chemical part of your brain to where the cell actually needs the meth and you can never be free from it again? Im not talking about people who have just tried the drug, I mean actual addicts.

It changes brain chemistry – it’s highly addictive and if someone is in that environment well they’d find it easier to fly to the moon than stop.
