Is it ok to use “I” in a high school reserach paper?

Question by P.P.P: Is it ok to use “I” in a high school reserach paper?
I am a senior and i just started writing my research paper. Althought it sounds informal and crap, is it ok to use “I” in a 5000 word research paper? (Once or twice the entire essay)

No, you would write it in the third person, such as “The researcher found that …” or the like.
