Is it harmful to splash ordinary seventy percent rubbing alcohol on your face after shaving?

Question by reluctant: Is it harmful to splash ordinary seventy percent rubbing alcohol on your face after shaving?
I’m lazy and cheap and prefer this quite inexpensive alternative to fancy dancy face treatments loaded with expensive scents that wear off anyway. I’ve started to wonder, though, if the isopropyl alcohol in it is harmful to my lungs for the short time that the fumes are strong and right next to my nose and therefore my lungs, not to mention my precious, precious brain.
Well, yes, it does sting a bit. That’s sort of why I like it. There’s no doubt it’s working to kill any potential infections in microscopic cuts that may have been made by the razor blades. Oddly enough, I haven’t had problems with dry skin, probably because I do load up on vitamins and minerals and try otherwise to eat properly. Back when I used to not pop pills (multivitamins and such) I used to have problems every winter with dry, cracked lips. Nutrition counts.

The idea about vodka sounds interesting. It’s supposed to be odorless, and if it stings too much, I can down a slug of it to kill the pain. Hmmm.

no, the only worries you will have is it will dry your skin out…it can only hurt you if you drink or inject it…
