Important Ritalin questions?

Question by daviddesmedt: Important Ritalin questions?
What’s the maximum amount of Ritalin you can take each day (in mg)? How much time is best to put between each amount you take? Am I allowed to take it about 6 months long?

It’s the only thing that makes me feel better. I’ve tried all kinds of antidepressants and they don’t work. I’ve been to numerous psychologists and other people but it hasn’t done a thing. I know the causes of my problems, it lies in my environment. I’ve tried everything to make my life more bearable with no result. It’s too late to go to another school now and it will take at least another 6-10 months before my life can finally improve. It’s either this, drugs or suicide.

I beg of you to answer my question and don’t try to support me or tell me there are other ways to solve my problems. I’m doing this either way and I wouldn’t want an overdose or my health destroyed (though I’d take the risk). I don’t mind if it’s bad for me (like cigarets or cocain once a week), but I don’t want it to be really dangerous.

Well, it sounds like you’ve got a street source for Ritalin. I would talk with a psychologist and say that when you take Ritalin you “feel better.” This way he can get it prescribed for you in a dose that is safe and you will have a consistent and legal supply.

The fact that you “feel better” suggests that the antidepressants are not the med for you. You may have been mis-diagnosed. Ritalin only “works” for those with ADD or ADHD.
