Implanting medication to treat opioid dependence appears beneficial in decreasing opioid usage
( JAMA and Archives Journals ) Helping to address the issue of medication adherence, persons with opioid dependence who had the medication buprenorphine implanted had less opioid use over 16 weeks, according to a study in the Oct. 13 issue of JAMA.
