If alot was used more back in the 80’s and then very rarely until about 2 years ago, would the effects on the body(especially the heart and lungs) be the same as someone who used it all the time?

It depends. There have been cases of people using stimulant drugs like cocaine and death resulting. Bruce Lee is a famous case of using hashish twice. On the second time, his brain swelled and he died.
