I’m really sensitive to certain things.?

Question by Jordan W: I’m really sensitive to certain things.?
I’m actually succeeding quite well, in college, plus I’m about to get a website I developed hosted up for the sake of people looking at it and saying, “Hey, maybe I can use this guy for my production or project.” Unfortunately, because I am autistic and am part of that generation that’s seen a bunch of movies and TV shows, i.e. Generation Y, or the Internet Generation, this means I am really sensitive to certain things. These include people approaching behind me, people knocking on the door, people making sudden unexpected loud noises, specific cartoons/live action that may feature “abuse” or “bad parents” or “disownment”, the like. Some phrases that just keeps uttering in my head is, “You’re not my son (How to Train Your Dragon)”, “You have a lot to think about (A Canterlot Wedding Part 1)”, “What about humans (Little Mermaid)”, “I’m going to get through to you, Ariel, and if this is the only way, so be it (Little Mermaid)”, and “You will never build again (The Trial of Cotterpin Doozer)”. I always live in fear that this may happen to me, or that this means I hate you forever, or I will never be your friend again, or rebelling against the norm is a terrible terrible thing to do, when it shouldn’t be. I kinda farted two days ago when me, mom, and my brother David were eating ice cream at Menchie’s, David said he oughta slap me, and I said if you slap me I’ll kick your ass. I even imagined myself snapping his neck Kato (Hunger Games) or Bane (Dark Knight Rises) style. I’m not sure if I’m strong enough to snap someone’s neck, but my brother said hey, don’t cuss period, and also, don’t cuss when there’s kids around, meaning that a couple of little children were sitting nearby, plus he also said he was joking, and that he loves me. It’s like I have to limit myself on what I should program, make, watch, read, and hear because just a certain number of things can make me sensitive, despite the brilliant talent that goes into making them, you know, like Martin Scorsese or Chris Sanders or the team of animators at Disney, Pixar, or Dreamworks. Truth is, I love cartoons, and I love it when animation takes risks, but I just don’t want them to do it to the point where it just makes me upset or go into a violent spurt whenever I think about it. I have multiple solutions to something like violent thoughts, not just writing it out, but also punching the punching bag, bench press weightlifting, a ball pit in my room (similar to the one’s at fast food restaurants (don’t know if they still have them)), discussions with my counselor, my psychiatrist, and my brother, who’s majoring in psychology. What are your thoughts give how sensitive I am to very specific things?

Kill your t.v. You seem to live in a fantasy world where cartoon people might be real, or at least you seem to relate to them. No more fantasy movies for you. Watch the news and get real.
