I had unprotected anal sex with a dominican 35 year old on a 2 day meth and ghb binge. he is a 7 year addict- I also had an ingrown hair grow into a giant red scab- I had never bottomed in my life and I also bottomed- after the 2 days the skin on my mouth was white and cracked dry and falling offf and i have bruises and bite marks- neither of us came because we were extremely high- but both had precum- the guy is a crystal addict and didnt care to use a condom or not and i made a huge mistake- I dont know for sure if he has hiv but his ex commited suicide so im guessing the run together- how great is the risk- I have just gotten hiv? also if you have support for me I appreciate it as well if you want to share a story of when you just knew you had been infected. has anyone been sure they had hiv from an encounter and been negative from it. I need help.

Should I try to talk to the guy or is there no point- should I just assume he does not care either way so he has it? he could have been bingeing because of his exs suicide and he denies to the people he sees (hes a hairdresser) that he is a user- plus I dont think it will show up right away- but I also had unprotected sex in november multiple times and remember getting the fllu a week later and feeling really sick- then i got a herpes sore/ or ingrown hair- that has not completelely healed since january and now is scabbed from this encounter.

It takes about 1-3 months for HIV to show up on tests.
So, you should get tested probably ever month for four months, just to be safe.
