I’m in South Carolina and want to clear a few misdemeanors with a Pre-trial intervention.?

Question by James Pickert: I’m in South Carolina and want to clear a few misdemeanors with a Pre-trial intervention.?
Friday night in Columbia, SC I was arrested and charged with littering, possession/consumption of alcohol, possession.consumption of liqour (not sure the distinction between the “alcohol” and the “liqour”, possession of another’s ID, and simple possession of marijuana. I go to college in Greenville, SC, and I plan on applying for the Pre-trial intervention (PTI) program. My scheduled trial date is this Wednesday.

My questions are :
1. Do I go to the trial in Columbia regardless of what happens with the PTI? Or should I get a continuance on the trial so I have more time to apply for the PTI?
2. Will I have to apply for the PTI in Columbia? Its a state program so I assume I should be able to do it in Greenville…
3. Will my PTI apply to all five charges? Or can I only use it for one?
4. How poor are my chances for getting the PTI, given that I have five different charges?

Please answer asap.
Thanks!
