I’m a recovering heroin addict and I feel like I lost everything, what should I do?

Question by Forsaken4321: I’m a recovering heroin addict and I feel like I lost everything, what should I do?
A month ago I entered a medical detox for heroin withdrawl. I’m currently in an outpatient rehab. When my girlfriend found out I was shooting heroin, she left me. I’m really depressed now that I’ve been off the drugs. I’ve tried seeing my friends, I’ve been exercising everyday, I’ve been dating other girls and yet I still feel like garbage. I hate myself even though other people like me. I’m good looking, I’m 20 years old and I can’t even do the other stuff people my age are doing. It’s like someone at work will have this story about how they went to a bar or a party and drank and I can’t touch any substances because I get addicted to them. I’m in debt like $ 5000. It may seem like not much to you but it really brings me down. I have to repay college loans because I withdrew from classes. I feel like I don’t even want to do better. Today I drove around looking for a new dealer in a known drug area. I didn’t find any, guess I didn’t look good enough.
